This year there are five monthly categories to recognise the best goal, best player, best coach, best save and best under-23 player, while there will also be recognition for the Team of the Season and the top player in terms of their social contribution. To decide these prizes, the opinions of an expert committee have been combined with the views from fans, who can vote for each month’s winners online.
The winners for the first month of the season were:

Best Under-23 Player: Lamine Yamal, the standout FC Barcelona talent, has won the prize as the best U23 player in LALIGA EA SPORTS in August.
At just 17 years of age, he is an international star and already such a key member of FC Barcelona and Hansi Flick’s plans. His ability is combined with maturity on the pitch and he continues to catch the eye. The youngster started all four of his team’s matches in August and scored one goal as well as providing the most assists in the competition with four.
Best Goal: Juan Cruz, the CD Leganés winger, is the winner of the Goal of the Month honour, having netted the most spectacular strike in the LALIGA EA SPORTS August matches.
The Spanish-Argentine winger scored a brilliant goal from outside the box in his team’s win over UD Las Palmas during Matchday 2. That goal wasn’t just aesthetically pleasing, but it also contributed to the newly promoted team’s first win since their return to LALIGA EA SPORTS after four years away.
