The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has intensified his supremacy battles with Director of Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti after claiming that the top detective was not in his league.
Haji said he only deals with Inspector General of Police Hilary Mutyambai, who oversees the operations of the DCI and is the boss of Kinoti.
“My relationship is with the IG of Police who is in charge of the entire police service. The Director of DCI is an officer under the IG and as such, I think my relationship should be gauged with the IG. If there is an issue with the DCI, then the IG should deal with it,” he said.
Haji said his deputy directors were the ones dealing with Kinoti.
“I have several deputy directors who are at the same level with Kinoti. Those are the people he should be dealing with,” he said.
