Four people died on Sunday in a road accident involving a 11-seater matatu and a a trailer at Nairagie Enkare escapment along the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway.
The matatu, belonging to Quick bus sacco, crushed into the Hino trailer on the right side at Ratili area.
While confirming the incident, Narok East subcounty deputy police commander Jared Marando said all the casualties were in the Matatu vehicle that was headed towards Mai Mahiu direction among the them the Matatu driver.
“As a result of the accident, four passengers were fatally injured. Scene visited and necessary action taken. Effort to tow the motorvehicles to station under way. Cause code 8 submitted. Case PUI. Further report to follow,” said Marando.
Police arrived at the scene to help with moving the injured persons to different hospitals.
